Accelerator 0054

Accelerator 0054 works with many epoxy resins and hardeners to accelerate the epoxy/amine reaction. Compatible systems will experience a loss in pot life and an acceleration of cure time. Accelerator 0054 will not work in every system and users should always test this accelerator in their system prior to use on any job.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

Add 0.1 – 5.0 parts per 100 parts of Epoxy Resin (phr) to the Amine Hardener side. — Mechanically pre-mix into the Amine Hardener Side and then add the Hardener to the Epoxy Resin portion. This accelerator will speed the cure of the epoxy coating and reduce the potlife of the mixture.

• Always test a small amount first before moving on to larger mixes.
• Never mix this compound into the Epoxy side of the coating.
• Always add to the Amine side.
• Do not add more than 5.0 phr. (parts per hundred parts epoxy resin)

Coating performance is directly related to the quality and degree of surface preparation. Prior to overcoating, all surfaces must be clean, dry, undamaged, and free of all contaminants.
